Animals There’s an incredible beauty about animals and I have a deep love and adoration for dogs, cats, birds …anything that doesn’t bite me. One of my clients in Kansas City had a very adorable puppy but I could see that he wasn’t doing so well. The puppy had the tremors. It turns out that her young children were playing with the puppy and had dropped it on his head. I felt compassion seeing how badly he was suffering and asked my client if I could work with him for a while. The puppy responded very well to the healing. The tremors stopped completely and he started growing again. Years later I was staying with friends in Boston. My friends had taken in a stray cat shortly before they moved from Santa Fe, NM. They named him Langly because he was very thin at the time they found him. Langly fattened up over time, but he had some serious emotional problems. He was very needy, insecure and he became extremely aggressive toward my friend’s other cats. It was horrible to see how he would attack the other cats. I felt very alarmed by the situation, so I picked up Langly, put him on the bed and worked with him for twenty minutes before I went out for the day. My friends later told about what happened as they were sitting up in their bed that evening. Langly was sitting down at the foot of the bed. His eyes were rolled back into his head, his head was leaning over to the side and the drool was falling out of his mouth. I did one more session with Langly before my friends moved out of Boston. Langly became less needy, grew more secure and stopped trying to kill my friend’s other cats. Animals have no defenses. They don’t run from issues like people and they are very present to the moment. That makes them very receptive to the healing work. Sometimes it’s difficult to get some of them to hold still. In some instances I may only get to work with them for five to ten minutes. Some animals love the healing and absorb the power that comes through during the sessions. There are many instances where my client’s cats jump onto the table and stay there for the duration of the healing session. Many animals have a strong affinity to me. Sometimes I go to see a friend or client and their cats and dog get excited. Sometimes the dogs start to howl. My mom has told me about that her dogs get so attached to me and feel depressed for a week after I leave. The following testimony is from one of my clients who had a similar experience after a healing session. "I went to the zoo with my sister and her two children the day after my healing session with Ben. It was really strange the reactions I got from the animals. For example, when we went to the chimpanzee house, a few of the chimps walked straight up to me and stared at me through the glass. Then one of them put their hand out to me. I put my hand up and his eyes followed my hand as I moved my hand around. The zoo keeper was standing there and said that he has never seen them be so responsive towards any one person before. At another tiny monkey exhibit, one of the monkeys stared at me and then jumped at me straight into the glass. At the cats exhibits, the cats came right up to me. There were 3 in a cage, and all three came walking over as soon as I walked up and sat so their fur was sticking out of the cage. I could have petted them if I wanted to. My sister thought that it must something to do with the healing session I received from Ben, as there could be no other explanation for how these animals were so attracted to me." ©Copyright 2007 Ben Oofana.
